The Heights-West End Community Health Fair is a free health fair open to the public. The health fair will offer residents free health information, screenings, child immunizations and insurance information. Food and beverage, fun, participatory entertainment and door prizes are all part of fun-filled family event! “The purpose of the health fair is to increase personal health awareness, detection of health problems and provide referrals to community services, said Rochell Cebrun, Co-Chair of the health fair committee. This is especially a good opportunity for new residents to consult with resources in one convenient location. “From A to W”, says Co-Chair Rose Brewer, find out about asthma, cancer, cholesterol, diabetes, elder care, fire safety, medications reviews, well mom and well-baby care, and MORE!
The fair is sponsored by St. Marks UMC–Patterson, St. Mark’s UMC-Pecore, the West End Civic Club, City of Houston, Harris County Hospital District and State District 148 office.
