Cohen Releases Poll Results and Strong Financial Report

Sep. 27, 2010 in Press Releases

State Representative Ellen Cohen released today the results of a poll conducted in Texas House District 134 during September 10 – 15. The poll shows Cohen leading by a 57% to 30% margin and holding a substantial lead among every demographic group. The results show that Cohen is remarkably well known in the District and her positive image and job ratings are virtually unchanged from those recorded in March. The official poll memo can be located at www.ellencohen.org.

“These poll numbers reflect the commitment I have to serving the constituents of District 134,” said Cohen. “I promised in my first campaign to ‘represent the District to the Legislature and not a Party to the District” and I have kept that promise. I serve District 134 on a full-time basis because that is what is needed to provide superior constituent services and relevant legislation. District 134 should expect no less.”

Cohen will report on her campaign financial disclosure 30-day out report more than $235,000 cash on hand for the June 30, 2010 – September 23, 2010 reporting period. Because of generous donors supporting Cohen, her first campaign commercial launched two weeks ago. Whether financial or poll numbers, Cohen consistently shows support from Democrats, Republicans, and Independents, who are confident she is representing the District well.

Since the launch of her campaign, Cohen and her team have knocked on over 6,500 doors, delivered over 1,700 yard signs, held house parties all over the District, and have more hard work planned for the last 36 days of the campaign.
