Mayor Pro Tem Cohen hosted the annual District C Capital Improvement Plan Meeting, welcoming over 200 attendees despite inclement weather. Mayor Turner, the Public Works and Engineering Department, and others presented upcoming infrastructure improvements that will impact District C over the next 5 years.
Following the presentations, participants were able to converse with experts from each department one-on-one in breakout sessions to have their specific questions answered. Those who were unable to attend may view the meeting online via HTV (under the ‘Committees & Commissions’ tab) and submit their project suggestions to 311@houstontx.gov. The current draft CIP, which describes FY2017-FY2021, will come before Council for a vote in June.
