Houston City Councilmember Ellen Cohen is creating an “ambassadors” program to help her connect with the nearly 60 active civic associations in District C — and she’s looking for volunteers.
Applicants should be actively involved in their own civic organizations, be prepared to communicate regularly with Cohen’s staff and take part in bi-monthly meetings with the councilwoman and her staff.
Ambassadors will also be expected to help in organizing community-based office hours for taking in constituent concerns, and assisting with other special projects.
