I’m pleased to announce that we are now accepting new applications for the 2018 Cohen Ambassador Program (CAP)!
The CAP program was created in 2012 to help track the ideas and concerns from the over 70 civic associations throughout District C. Each Cohen Ambassador serves as a point-person for their neighborhood to ensure every community has their voices heard at City Hall.
CAP Members attend their regular civic club meetings, relay community needs to me and the District C staff, share important City of Houston news with their neighbors, and attend annual CAP Meetings. This program creates an effective communication system for neighborhoods to share their challenges and solution strategies with one another.
We anticipate the 2018 meeting to take place at City Hall in April and details will be sent to ambassadors as they are confirmed.
To apply to serve as a 2018 Cohen Ambassador, please email DistrictC@houstontx.gov with your resume. Please be sure to include your name, home address, and the neighborhood you would like to represent. We will accept applications through Wednesday, February 28th and notifications will be sent the first week of March.
