Yard Signs!

Aug. 17, 2011 in News Articles

Dear Friend,

On Monday, I became the first candidate for City Council to file the official paperwork with the Mayor’s Office to have my name placed on the November 8th ballot.  The previous day supporters enjoyed cake balls from Angie’s Cake as I hosted an open house at my new campaign headquarters.  Now that we are in full swing, let the yard sign distribution begin!

My policy is to only place signs on private property where we have been invited to do so. {Signs on construction site fences, vacant lots, overpasses, and in medians are illegal.}  If you have displayed a yard sign in the past, you can expect to hear from us to confirm that you would like to show your support once again.  If you would like to sign up for a yard sign now, you can do that here or by calling our office at 713.838.0134.

Some homeowners’ associations may try to prevent their residents from displaying yard signs.  However, Texas law forbids homeowners’ associations from enforcing or adopting restrictive covenants that prohibit property owners from displaying political signs on the property owners’ property during the period from 90 days before an election until 10 days after the election is over.

Again, thank you in advance for your continued support and enthusiasm.

Fondly,
