State Rep. Ellen Cohen Designated With Honorable Mention from Capitol Inside

State Representative Ellen Cohen was designated with an Honorable Mention in Capitol Inside’s “Best of the Legislature’s List for 2009.” The “Best of the Legislature’s List” includes those legislators who have made significant contributions during the Legislative Session and are selected by Mike Hailey, Editor for Capitol Inside.

“I am honored to be included on the Capitol Inside list with my other distinguished colleagues including those who I worked with on the Appropriations and Higher Education Committees,” said Representative Cohen. “I am proud of the accomplishments this session as they reflect those priorities that District 134 constituents told me were important including the change in the Top Ten Percent Rule, appropriated funding for trauma care and providing resources for the rebuilding of the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston.”

State Representative Ellen Cohen is serving her second term in the Texas Legislature. Elected to the Texas House of Representatives in 2006, she represents District 134, which includes all of Bellaire, West University, River Oaks, Rice University and the Texas Medical Center, along with parts of Meyerland and Montrose.
